St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 399 Hope Street, Bristol, is honored to have been selected to host the 9th Annual Rhode Island RSCM Evensong on Sunday, April 29th at 5 PM. Over 50 young singers from Royal School of Church Music programs around the state will join to present this service of sung Evening Prayer in the English tradition.
The choir will be directed by Kevin Jones of Christ Church Cathedral, Hartford, CT. This year's organist will be Dr. Mark Steinbach, organist of Brown University and St. Paul's Wickford Village. Participants will come from St Michael's, Bristol; St. Luke's, East Greenwich; Emmanuel, Newport; St. Paul's, Pawtucket; and St. Paul's, Wickford Village.
The service is free and open to all, regardless of religious affiliation. A reception will follow. St. Michael's is located in downtown Bristol (corner of Hope and Church Sts.)

The RSCM program is born out of the centuries-old tradition of cathedral choir schools in England, and is one of the best music training programs in the world. Singing high quality sacred repertoire and working through a carefully graded curriculum, young singers age 8 to 16 receive a first-rate music education at no cost to them or their families.
