Fatima High School Receives Recognition for Community Outreach

Fatima High School has received awards from the Feinstein Foundation and numerous other non-profit organizations for community service projects.

Fatima High School’s community service projects have received awards from many well-known organizations over the years. Recently, Fatima High School was recognized as a National School of Distinction from the Schools Fight Hunger OrganizationSchools Fight Hunger is an organization that aims to bring together America’s schools and school families around the cause of ending childhood hunger.  

Fatima High School has also received awards from the Feinstein Foundation, the Rhode Island Food bank, the Washington Trust Company and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In addition, Alan Shawn Feinstein granted Fatima with over $8,000 to help end hunger in Rhode Island.  

Fatima’s community service projects include two food drives, Christmas as a Birthday, Pennies for Patients, PB Xpress and a Pop Tab collection to benefit the Ronald McDonald House.  Fatima High School students have experienced a night of being homeless, delivered over 30 Christmas presents to children in need, collected over 1,500 non-perishable food items, $384 in pennies and 38 pounds of pop tabs.
