Fundraising Underway For New Warren Dog Park

Several fundraisers will be held to raise money for a new dog park in the town.

WARREN, R.I. -- The town of Warren Parks and Recreation Department has planned several fundraisers to raise money for Phase One of building a new dog park.

On Saturday, April 6, a clam boil will be held at the Central Fire Company on Joyce Street. Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at 401-824-4623 or by emailing warrenrecreation@gmail.com. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and food will be served at 6:30 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will go towards funding Phase One of the planned Warren Dog Park. The three-quarter acre park will be located near the East Bay bike path, North of the Franklin Street Park and Ride.

The Parks and Recreation Department is also selling memorial pavers to be included in the park. The following are available for purchase:

  • $50 4” x 8” Red Brick
  • $100 4” x 8” Granite paver
  • $200 8” x 8” Granite paver
  • $2,000 Six Foot Metal Bench (limited availability)

Corporate sponsorships are also available, with names to be listed on a signage plaque at the entrance of the park.

  • $5,000 top tier (big print)
  • $2,500 2nd tier
  • $1,000 3rd tier
  • $500 4th tier (smaller print)

Anyone interested in purchasing a paver can download the form and return it to the Parks and Recreation Department with a check made payable to "Town of Warren."
