Health Department: Close Beaches: King Park In Newport & Warren Town Beach
The health department recommends closing these beaches to swimming due to bacteria.

WARREN, RI — Two beaches should be closed to swimming until further notice, the Rhode Island Department of Health said Sunday. Warren Town Beach in Warren and King Park Beach, which is located in Newport, have been impacted by high bacteria counts.
Explaining what the situation means, the health department said "when a beach closure is recommended, water quality analysis is conducted by RIDOH's laboratory or a state-certified laboratory. The status of a beach may change daily. The most up-to-date beach information is available through a recorded message on RIDOH's beaches telephone line (401-222-2751) and online" at the links listed below:
