High School Alumni Defeat Mt. Hope Wrestlers in Fundraiser Meet

While the Wrestling team have had their , wrestlers were no match for Mt. Hope alumni wrestlers on Friday night.

More than 100 spectators, alumni and present wrestlers attended the first annual alumni meet and fundraiser held at in hopes of finding out whether the old timers or the young wrestlers would come out on top.

"It was an awesome time," said spectator alum Ernie Dupuis.

By the end of the night the alumni team may have been out of breath, but they took the first meet victory with a score of 64-28.

"[The alumni] did win but Mt. Hope did well," Dupuis said. "It was really funny seeing some of the old timers suck wind, but again they did a good job."

On the Wrestling Team Facebook Page, the Mt. Hope team announced their loss, with plans of a comeback for next year.

"Thanks to everyone who made last night so much fun!! The Alumni will take the 2012 spot on the plaque, but I am certain their are alot of sore individuals out there this morning!"
