Lady-G Hosts Children’s Show to Benefit Women’s Resource Center
Lady Gaga-themed show to feature Bwana Iguana at Newport Blues Café on December 13
[NEWPORT – December 9, 2013] On Friday, December 13, Beth Hammond – better known as “Lady-G” – will be performing a Gaga-themed children’s benefit to raise money for victims of domestic violence. The all-ages show will be held from 6-8pm at the Newport Blues Café, which will be featuring two-for-one entrees.
In addition to the PG-rated Lady-G performance, Bwana Iguana Reptile Adventure will entertain the children with a hands-on reptile show, and special appearances from Elmo and Cinderella are sure to delight. There will be a dance contest accompanied by great kids dance music from DJ Butch, as well as pop star and superhero dress-up. To learn more about Lady-G, visit her website at www.BethIsGaga.com.
Many local businesses have supported the event so far by donating to the raffle, which will feature prizes like custom artwork from local artists, gift baskets, gift certificates from area stores, restaurants, fitness studios, and more. All proceeds will benefit the Women’s Resource Center serving Newport and Bristol Counties.
The Women’s Resource Center provides a wide array of services for victims – including 24-hour hotline support, emergency shelter, support groups, counseling services, and assistance with the legal system. For more information, visit the Women’s Resource Center at www.wrcnbc.org or at www.facebook.com/wrcnbc. If you need assistance, please call the statewide Helpline at 800-494-8100.
