Maria Ilda (Medeiros-Furtado) Noia, 95, of Roma Street passed away on December 30th at Cape Cod Hospital. She was the wife of the late Alfred Ribeiro Noia.
Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Joao and Maria do Esperito Santo (Mello) Furtado. She was employed as a seamstress at Smith Manufacturing, I Shalom and Premium Thread before retiring.

She is survived by her daughter Aura Cabana of Chatham MA; grandsons Marc Cabana and Jason Cabana; great grandchildren Jacob, Macey and Maggie and brother Daniel Furtado. She was the sister of the late Joao Furtado, Jose Furtado, Antonio Furtado, Jaime Furtado and Joao Furtado II.
Her funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 3 at 8 am from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am at St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bristol.
Visiting hours are Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm.
