The wind and some uncharacteristic poor Husky defense lead to a 16-9 Huskies loss Monday vs. EWG. Joe Simeone started for the Huskies and went 2.1 inning.
Simeone appeared to pitch himself out of a jam in the second, when with 1 out and the bases loaded, induced two grounds balls; both led to errors opening the way to an 8 run second. The Huskies mounted a comeback with 4 runs in the fourth on doubles by Josh Hunt, Matt Natale and a fielders choice by Brent Millard.
The Huskies added an additional run in the fifth on a single by Jared Ramos but that was the end of the scoring.
