Obituary: Alice D. Heins

Mrs. Alice D. (Ryan) Heins, 86, of Bristol, died Aug. 23 at her home. She was the wife of the late John N. Heins, Sr.,

Born in Boston, MA., she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Preen) Ryan. A resident of Bristol for 53 years, she previously resided in Bangor, ME. She was an inspector for American Tourister, formerly in Warren, for 30 years, retiring in 1988. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol.

She is survived by three children: John N. Heins, Jr. and his wife Beverly, of Norfolk, CT, Richard E. Heins of Spring Lake, NC and Dr. Mary Jane Vaillancourt, DMD of Middletown; four grandchildren: Brenda Dubriel, Karen Toth and Cheryl Heins, all of Norfolk, CT, and Christopher Vaillancourt of Rehoboth, MA; and four great grandchildren: Jacob Heins, Colby Reed, Joshua and Zachary Toth.
