Obituary: Antonetta Caromile

The 92-year-old Bristol resident will be laid to rest Wednesday, Nov. 14.


Mrs. Antonetta (Salvaggio) Caromile, 92, of Roma Street, Bristol, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at the Silver Creek Manor Nursing Home, Bristol. She was the wife of the late Louis Caromile.

Born in Bristol, and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Jacquim "Jack " and Emily(Cirillo) Salvaggio. Antonetta was a homemaker and a hairdresser. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and Antonetta also loved cooking for her family.

She will be sadly missed by her son, Joseph Caromile and his wife, Laura of Warwick and her daughter, Lou Ann Cortellessa and her husband, Domenic of Bristol; her grandchildren, Michael J., Stephen L., Jonathan E. Bethany L. Caromile and Robert Cortellessa; her great grandchildren, Presley M. and Vincent M. Cortellessa; and a brother, Alphonse Salvaggio of Bristol. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Salvaggio.

Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Chestnut Street, Bristol.

Visiting hours are today from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Silver Creek Manor, "Activities Fund", 7 Creek lane, Bristol, RI 02809 or Alzheimer's Association, RI Chapter, 245 Waterman St, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906.
