Patrick McCarthy Running For Bristol Town Council
Patrick "Pat" McCarthy, of Bristol, announced today that he will be running for Bristol Town Council this November.

BRISTOL - Patrick “Pat” McCarthy, of Bristol, announced today that he will be running for Bristol Town Council this November.
Mr. McCarthy is a former Administrator for the RI State Office of Energy Resources, where he advised the state’s governor on Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy and Energy Emergency Management. Most recently, he advised the transition team of then Lt. Governor - Elect Dan McKee on Energy, Small Business and Emergency Management.
Mr. McCarthy is also very active on the local government stage, where he has served the Town of Bristol as a long-term member of the Economic Development Commission, as a member of the Bristol Harbor Commission, as Public Ambassador for Solarize Bristol and most recently, at the request of the Bristol Town Council, as Chairman of the Bristol Aquatics Center Exploration Committee.

Mr. McCarthy is also very well known locally as the Project Manager who installed an award winning 160-Panel Solar Array Field on the roof the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church School Gymnasium. The project eliminated the school’s annual $12K electricity bill and is expected to continue doing so for the next 25 years. He previously owned and operated a local favorite small business, the Oliver Street Bakery and Deli.
Mr. McCarthy is a member of the management team at General Dynamics’ Electric Boat Corporation, where he is a Program Representative, Specialist, for the Quality Control Function. Mr. McCarthy has a degree in Economics from URI and an M.B.A. from Bryant University. He has been married to his wife, Nina (Squatrito), for 37 years. They have 2 children.
