BRISTOL, R.I. – Roger Williams University advanced 5 spots to No. 27Ā onĀ U.S. News & World Report's 2022Ā Best Regional Universities in the NorthĀ list. In the rankings released today, RWU also made the lists forĀ Most Innovative, Best Value, Best Undergraduate Engineering Program, Best SchoolĀ for Veterans,Ā andĀ A-Plus Schools for B Students.Ā 

RWU’s distinctive focus on experiential learning and commitment to student successĀ continueĀ to help the university rise in the annual college rankings. In addition to improvements inĀ student retention and graduation rates, Roger Williams was recognized in the category ofĀ outstanding experiential learning programs,Ā including undergraduate research,Ā first year experience, and senior capstone; for ourĀ small class sizes and aĀ 15-1Ā student-to-faculty ratioĀ thatĀ enable personal attention in the classroom; and for ourĀ significantĀ investmentĀ in financial aid, scholarshipsĀ and grantsĀ that total nearly $70 million awarded annually.Ā

Roger Williams also ranked in the top 12 percent of regional universities in theĀ North, with the No. 20 spot in Most Innovative Schools,Ā forĀ making the most innovations in curriculum, faculty, students, campus life, technology or facilities.Ā A No. 31 ranking in theĀ A-Plus SchoolsĀ for B Students recognizedĀ RWU’sĀ commitment to the academic success of everyĀ studentĀ through significant academic support via ourĀ Center for Student Academic Services, a personalized education approach that collaborates with students toĀ developĀ their unique educational pathway, and our flexible learning opportunities at University College.Ā
