Twelve New Teachers Added to Bristol Warren School District
The School Committee approved the Superintendent's recommendation to hire 12 new teachers and one new administrator.
During a special School Committee meeting on Thursday evening, the committee approved 12 new teachers and one new administrator to the . The candidates were approved by the School Committee unanimously with the exception of one applicant.
Marjorie McBride, a committee member, voted against Cynthia Saddler, saying "memories die hard, and letters, and e-mails. Particularly one e-mail that was sent hasn't been forgotten." She commented regarding an incident that occurred in the past, saying that she wished "in the future" that she would "think twice" before "blasting" individuals.
William O'Dell, treasurer, also voted against Saddler for "financial reasons".
