Warren Barrington Rotary Club Serves Up Seafood for the Community

The 28th Annual Quahog Festival in Warren will take place on Saturday, July 16, and Sunday, July 17, at Burr's Hill Park in Warren.

This weekend, the Warren Barrington Rotary Club will host its 28th Annual Quahog and Seafood Festival at Burr’s Hill Park in Warren. Though the festival is a fun-filled outing for families, it also serves as a fundraiser for local organizations.

Tim Pray, chairman of the event and member of the Rotary Club, says that in the last five years, the Rotary Club of Warren and Barrington has donated $143,935 to more than 40 organizations in Warren, Bristol and Barrington. Donations have been made to a host of local organizations and groups, including the Band and DECA, , , the Warren Holiday Festival, Little League, Senior Center and Federal Blues, the Bristol Warren Education Foundation, Barrington High School fundraisers, and Bristol Good Neighbors, to name a few.

“Most of the donations come from the proceeds of the annual quahog festival,” Pray said.

Pray said he is looking forward to this year’s festival.

“The weather looks like it is going to be excellent this weekend,” Pray says. “There is a lot for people to do at the festival.”

There should be no shortage of fun at the festival, from the five live bands that will perform in the shell to pony rides for children, local vendors and local seafood dishes galore.

In addition to the seafood festival, Burr's Hill Park will also play host to the Warren Art Festival this weekend, featuring a juried art show and art sale of photography, paintings, and various other fine art pieces. 

The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 17. Pets are not allowed at the festival.
