Man Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting Victim with Knife
On Friday, Feb. 4, police allegedly responded to a domestic call at 30 Davis St. According to police, the victim stated that the resident, Paul Taylor, 46, had assaulted her with a knife. The victim also allegedly told police that Taylor had damaged the phone when she attempted to call police for help. Taylor was arrested on charges of domestic felony assault, domestic refusal to relinquish a telephone, and domestic disorderly conduct. He was arraigned and held on $5,000 cash bail.
Man Charged for Urinating in an Alley

On Tuesday, Feb. 1, Joel Robinson, 39, of Middletown, was arrested after a caller told police that Robinson was exposing himself and urinating in an alley on Market Street. Police allegedly responded and located a man that met the description given by the caller. Robinson was charged with disorderly conduct and was given a district court summons.

On Saturday, Feb. 5, police allegedly observed a vehicle make several violations on Main Street. When stopped, police allegedly noted signs of intoxication. Christopher Mallozzi, 33, of Plainville MA., failed a sobriety test and a chemical test. He was charged with a first offense DUI. He was released on $2,000 personal recognizance.
Three Arrested on Warrants
- Joseph Santos, 42, of 348 Child St., was picked up on Wednesday, Feb. 2, on a Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear on a technical violation.
- Kenny Leitao, 31, of 40 Manning St., was picked up by police on Thursday, Feb. 3, on a 6th District Court bench warrant for failure to appear at a cost review. According to police, Leitao posted cash bail and was released.
- Police allegedly stopped a vehicle that had made a traffic violation on Main Street on Saturday, Feb. 5. According to police, the driver, Charles Welshman, 30, of Seekonk, MA., was wanted on a 6th District Court bench warrant for failure to appear. Police also allegedly charged Welshman for driving on a suspended license.
