Warren Man Charged with Possessing and Processing Child Pornography

RI State Police arrested a 54-year-old man on child pornography charges on Wednesday.

A 54-year-old Warren resident was arrested on Child Pornography charges on Wednesday morning after members of the Computer Crimes Unit of the Rhode Island State Police executed a search warrant at his home.

According to a release, Walden Bonevelle of 20 Libby Lane, Apartment C31, was charged with possession of child pornography and the transmission of child pornography.

State Police said that an undercover investigation was conducted by a counterpart police force in Florida that discovered that a Rhode Island internet user was sharing pornographic files. Once the RI State Police were notified of the users IP address, they conducted an investigation that led them right to Bonevelle.

According to police, Bonevelle was arraigned in 6th District Court before the Honorable Judge Bucci. He was released on $25,000 personal recognizance and promise to commit to special conditions including no contact with children under 18 and no Internet/computer use. Bonevelle's next court date is March 13.
