Warren Man Sentenced For Trying To Have Sex With 14-Year-Old Girl
Christopher Kinney, 47, of Warren was also convicted of possessing 56 images of child pornography.
WARREN, RI ā A Warren man was sentenced Tuesday to 16 years in federal prison after he admitted to asking who he thought was a 14-year-old girl to dress in a diaper and have sex with him.
Christopher Kinney, 47, in May 2018 pleaded guilty to coercion and enticement of a minor, possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography.
In April 2018, Kinney admitted in court to communicating online with a person he believed was a 14=year-old girl. The communications rapidly became sexually explicit, with Kinney saying he wanted to meet the teenager at the Warwick Mall and then engaging in sex acts with her in the mall or elsewhere. The person Kinney was communicating with was actually a Rhode Island State Police detective assigned to the Internet Crime Against Children Task Force.

State Police arrested Kinney on April 26, 2018, at the mall, believing he was going to meet the girl at the food court. Authorities searched Kinney's car and found diapers, condoms and various items he discussed using for sexual purposes during the online chats.
State Police also seized Kinney's phone and found 56 pictures of child pornography and evidence he shared files and images of child pornography and pictures of children being harshly punished or beaten.

Following Kinney's prison sentence, he will serve a lifetime of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay $3,000 in restitution to a victim identified in the images found on the phone.
