Warren Police Arrest Three Men Following Parking Lot Drug Deal

Three men were arrested last Thursday on narcotic violations.

Three men were arrested by Warren police last week after detectives allegedly observed a drug transaction take place between them in a Market Street business parking lot.

According to police, Ā detectives conducted a surveillance of the parking lot on Thursday, Feb. 10, after receiving reports of narcotic transactions. At approximately 8 p.m., the detective allegedly observed a drug transaction between two vehicles in the parking lot. According to police, the detective reported the vehicles to patrol units, who stopped the vehicles upon exiting the parking lot.Ā Four men (two in each vehicle) were taken into police custody.

Upon further search, police allegedly discovered a half-pound of marijuana in one of the vehicles. It reportedly belonged to Joshua Burns, 29, of North Providence. Ā Burns was charged with possession of marijuana and driving in possession of a controlled substance.

According to police, officers also seized $1,091 in cash from the second vehicle. Vehicle occupants Jereme Beller, 29, of 3 Oak St., and Manuel Chaves, 32, of 21 Peckham Place, in Bristol, were both charged with delivery of marijuana and conspiracy to deliver the marijuana.

The fourth man, the passenger in the first vehicle, was taken into custody, but was not charged with anything and was later released.Ā
