Warren Town Manager Resigns
Thomas D. Gordon submitted his resignation this week.

Warren is about to start a search for a new Town Manager.
Thomas D. Gordon, who has served the town as its manager since 2011, submitted his resignation on Thursday.
Warren Town Council President Joseph DePasquale in a telephone interview on Friday confirmed that Gordon tendered his resignation and his last day of work will be Oct. 23.

āWeāre in a better position today thanks to [Gordon] and I want to thank him for his four years of service,ā DePasquale said. āIām going to miss him and weāre going to be moving foward.ā
DePasquale said that the Town Council will likely convene a special meeting to start the process of replacing Gordon soon.

GordonĀ replaced former Town Manager C. Richard Paduch as interim manager in 2011 and became the permanent town manager in 2012.
The townās former police chief, Gordon came in to lead the town when Warren was āin a tough position,ā DePasquale said.
The town is no longer in a crisis mode and āa lot of it has to do with his leadership as the Town Manager over the past four years,ā DePasquale said.
At the time of his appointment to the job in 2012, Gordon said he would focus on economic development and open lines of communication with residents.
āWe want to create a productive economic environment and maintain the safe environment the people of Warren are used to,ā Gordon said. āWarren is blessed to have very skilled and talented employees. I look forward to working with them to make Warren better every day.ā
