Watch: Pod Of Dolphins Spotted Feeding In Mount Hope Bay In Bristol
Check out a video of the dolphin pod feeding just north of the Mount Hope Bay Bridge in Bristol.
BRISTOL, RI ā Dolphins were seen feeding Tuesday in Mount Hope Bay in Bristol, according to the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM).
DEM officials shared a video of the pod of dolphins in a social media post. Staff from the DEM's water resources office spotted the dolphins just north of the Mount Hope Bay Bridge. DEM staff were conducting shellfish water quality monitoring when they spotted the dolphins.
According to the DEM, the Dolphins appeared to be following a large school of bait fish.

DEM officials reminded boaters to use caution when they encounter large marine life such as dolphins and whales
"Slowing down and giving marine wildlife space helps reduce the chance of collisions," a DEM spokesperson said.
