What in the world are you guys doing up there? It has been about a month since we moved to South Carolina. In that time you have unionized day care workers, given up your electoral votes (giving you less input in the presidential election), are reconsidering driver's licenses for illegals, discussing recalling voter id's, talking about some ridiculous bill that would limit the awarding of contracts over $1Million to contractors who have an internship program in place (thereby eliminating approximately 98% of the contractors in RI)... and who knows what else!
Wake up people!!! You are letting these politicians with personal agendas destroy your state!
South Carolina is a right to work state. Business is booming and there are jobs everywhere. The pay scale is HIGHER than RI and the cost of living is 50% lower (sometimes more).
People are free to make their own life decisions here. If you want to ride in the back of a pickup truck... it's your decision. If you want to have a gun in your home, car or business, it's your decision. When you purchase property it is YOURS. you can do what you want with it. For those who want a little more protection they buy a home in a neighborhood with a homeowners association -- no government intervention needed.
Maximum sales tax on a new vehicle is $300.00..... consequently... many new vehicles are sold.
Some things are just common sense!!
It is so sad to sit on the sidelines and see RI self-destruct!
