Whiz Kid: DECA Students Receive Recognition at State Conference, One Student Headed to Nationals
This week's Whiz Kids are students from the Mt. Hope DECA program, which placed in the state conference.
This week's Bristol-Warren Patch Whiz Kids are winners from the 2011 RI DECA Career Development Conference.

Accomplishment: These students placed in the state DECA conference.
Key to Awesomeness: Of the Mt. Hope High students that participated in this year's DECA Career Development Conference, 11 earned recognitions within the competition. Four students placed first with competency, meaning that they scored well in an acted out scenario as well as a written test in their area. Students who place first and second with competency are invited to the national competition in Orlando, FL, from April 29 through May 4. Corey DaSilva, a student who placed first with competency in Marketing Management Event, has elected to attend the national competition and says he is very excited for the acted out scenario, but is nervous to take the written test again.
