Your Community Group Could Win $12,500

Does your community organization help the residents of Bristol in a meaningful way? 

Then you should apply for a Fund for Civic Activities grant—it's worth up to $12,500. 

The fund was established in 2007 when Roger Williams University and the Town of Bristol agreed to a 20-year PILOT—that's a payment in lieu of taxes—according to a release from the Town of Bristol/Roger Williams University Cooperative Committee.

Deadline: April 15, with notification in May.

The committee awards more than $25,000 yearly through the fund. Selections are made by the individuals from both the town and the university who make up the committee, the release said.
