1. Central Falls School Board Splits Over AI Policy Penalties (upriseri.com) — Central Falls families should know the School Board is debating how strictly to punish students who turn in AI-generated work, with members split between automatic zeros and teacher discretion. The draft policy would also create a public list of approved AI tools and require staff and student training, with more discussion and possible subcommittee work coming before any final vote.
2. Man arrested on child molestation charges in Cranston (newportdispatch.com) — Central Falls residents should know a 22-year-old city man was arrested in town by the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force on a Pawtucket warrant for alleged breaking and entering and conspiracy. He was taken into custody without incident and turned over to Pawtucket police, in a roundup that also detailed several unrelated arrests in Cranston and at the ACI.
3. Not just a football Friday. Here's the rest of the scores from across RI (providencejournal.com) — Central Falls athletes had a tough outing in statewide high school action, with boys soccer falling to Central and Scituate and girls volleyball dropping a 3–1 match to North Providence. Still, these fresh results and the listed upcoming games give Central Falls families a clear picture of how local teams are competing and when they'll be back on the field or court.
4. Pawtucket Council Delays Dog Kennel License to October (upriseri.com) — A Pawtucket resident's pothole claim has been denied and referred to Central Falls, highlighting how the neighboring city can still be pulled into Pawtucket's council business. The meeting also featured a delayed kennel license decision, progress on a new unified high school site, and a recommended union contract for water board employees.
