β’ RI Energy bills are going up, then down, then up again. What to expect starting Oct. 1. (progressive-charlestown.com) β Starting Oct. 1, Central Falls residents will see electric bills rise about $16 a month, then get temporary credits this winter that briefly push costs down before likely increases again. Because Central Falls participates in a community electricity aggregation program, you can also opt out of Rhode Island Energy's default rates and potentially secure lower-priced power through bulk purchasing.
