Central Falls Man Charged With Hit-And-Run Crash Surrenders To Law: Cops

The Central Falls man surrendered at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, police said.

CENTRAL FALLS, RI — A Central Falls man charged with a hit-and-run crash surrendered to the law, police said.

Yovany Batres, 48, was arrested about 11 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant charging him with duty to stop for an accident resulting in damage to an attended vehicle, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

"This arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and Batres surrendering himself into the Lincoln Woods Barracks," the release said.

"Batres was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later arraigned at the Sixth Division District Court," according to the release.
