Rhode Island Inmate Charged With Possessing Drugs
The Central Falls man was arrested by the Adult Correctional Institutions Investigations Unit, police said.
CRANSTON, RI — A Rhode Island inmate was charged with possessing drugs, police said.
Erik Perez, age 40, was arrested Wednesday by the Rhode Island State Police Adult Correctional Institutions Investigations Unit on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, the state police said in a media release.
Perez has been incarcerated since February and is due to be released in February 2027, records show.

"Mr. Perez was arraigned at Third Division District Court where he was granted $3,000 surety bail and remanded to the ACI," the release said.
