Gloria E. Hedstrom, 51, of Mohawk Street, Coventry, RI, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at home. Born in Warwick, RI she was the wife of Eric R. Hedstrom. They were married for twenty years. She was the daughter of the late Almonza, Sr., and Emily (Shandranette) Messier.
Gloria was a Community Living Aide for the State of RI in Cranston for twenty-three years. She loved animals and was a member of the ASPCA.
Besides her husband she is survived by a son; Nathan R. Hedstrom, four brothers; Dennis Messier, Richard Messier, Walter Messier and Almonza Messier, Jr., two sisters; Edith Geary and Doris Messier and a grandson; Luke N. Hedstrom.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 7:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry RI. Calling hours will be held prior from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Burial will be private.
