• Coventry Planners Weigh Data Center Ban, Duplex Rules (upriseri.com) — Coventry's Planning Commission is moving toward banning data centers and reshaping where duplexes and multifamily housing can be built, changes that could reach the Town Council in early 2027. Members discussed limiting density in R20 zones, where to allow housing in business districts, and possible restrictions on short-term rentals as consultants draft new zoning language.
   

• Authorities identify 21-year-old killed in two-vehicle Rhode Island crash (fallriverreporter.com) — Coventry police and local fire departments responded Tuesday to a nearly head-on crash on Harkney Hill Road near Camp Westwood Road that left a 21-year-old Connecticut man dead and another driver with minor injuries. The Coventry Police Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating, and no charges are pending against the surviving driver at this time.
