Barbara R. O’Brien, 76, of Narragansett Avenue in West Warwick, RI passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 16, 2014.
She was born in Warwick, RI, the daughter of the late Leo and Rose (Herbert) Mather. She was a bartender for many years for various locations.
She is survived by six children; George, Joseph, Edward, Charles, and Patricia O’Brien and Cheryl Castaldi, a sister; Florence Tavares and her husband Joseph, fifteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is also survived by a nephew; Dennis Kennedy. She was predeceased by a nephew; Francis Kennedy.
Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will be private.
