"Best Bars in America" Star Sean Patton Headlines Comix at Foxwoods Beginning January 22nd

Comix at Foxwoods will host the co-star of Esquire's "Best Bars in America" and renowned stand-up act Sean Patton

Patton, a comedian based in New York, by way of New Orleans, began doing stand-up in the Crescent City, and has since performed in comedy clubs across the US and Canada. Patton’s comedic style focuses more on originality, personal perspective, and tales glorifying the beauty of human flaw rather than the classic set-up punch joke telling.

Since moving to New York, Patton has performed at established comedy clubs such as Comix, Gotham, and the Comedy Cellar. His comedy He was featured as one of the “New Faces” at the 2008 Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. Sean can be seen as a comedic regular on many of the VH1 “Talking Head” shows. He was also featured on the 4th season of Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham.”

Soon after his “Live at Gotham” appearance, Patton made his network television debut on NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” performing a strong stand-up set on one of the most popular shows in late-night television. He then landed featured appearances on “Conan” on TBS. More recently, Patton brought his comedy down-under, when he performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2011. There, he received rave reviews for his hilarious performance.

Patton also appeared in comedy sketches with his friend, comedian Joe DeRosa. He and comedian Chesley Calloway launched the weekly “Comedy as a Second Language” show in New York’s Kabin Bar. “CSL” has since become one of the best bar shows in the New York stand-up scene, hosting the top comedians in the country each week.

2013 marked the release of his Comedy Central Half Hour Special. As for acting, Patton played a guest starring role on IFC’s “Maron” and a co-starring role on Comedy Central’s “Inside Amy Schumer.” Patton also stars in the unscripted travel show “Best Bars in America” for The Esquire Network
