Betty J. Lopes, 82, of Cranston Street, Cranston, RI, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Phillip Hulitar Home & Hospice Care of RI, Providence, RI. Born in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Josephine (Lamorandiere) Payment.

Betty was a homemaker to her loving family.

She is survived by five sons; Timothy Lopes, Mark Lopes, Frederick Lopes, Frank Lopes and Ken Lopes, two daughters; Elizabeth Gaudet and Lynne Solomon, eighteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son; David Lopes.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 3:30 pm at the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will be private.
