Big Truck Route Going Through Coventry?
The state Department of Transportation postponed a plan to move an oversize truck to Massachusetts by a route through Town.

COVENTRY, RI — Coventry police said Friday that the state has postponed plans to send a big truck through Town. The truck is so big and heavy, the state's transportation director said, it could damage bridges it passes over. According to police, the 16-axle truck is carrying a generator weighing 560,000 pounds. It is 13'7" high. It will be moving at an average speed of 5 mph taking about 10 hours to reach the Massachusetts border.
