Boom Watch: It's URI Students
Detectives have figured out who's making the strange loud noises people have been reporting. They're URI students and professors.
COVENTRY, RI — Police have dug to the bottom of a mystery surrounding loud booms residents have noticed periodically. They're coming from West Greenwich at a site University of Rhode Island professors and students have been using to test materials. The police have a fix. They can't stop the tests, but they will notify residents in advance. Here's the post from Coventry police.
