Community Update

Arthur E. Ellinwood, 94, of Maple Valley Road, Coventry, RI, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013 at Kent Hospital, Warwick, RI. Born in Providence, RI, he was the husband of Lillian M. (Chamberlain) Ellinwood. They were married for seventy-six years. He was the son of the late Harry and Edna (Tolman) Ellinwood.

 Arthur was the Supervisor of the wing shop at Quonsett Point Naval Air Station for thirty years until retiring. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII.

 Besides his wife, he is survived by a son; Stephen H. Ellinwood and his wife Sandra, a daughter; Patricia A. Marcotte, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

 A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at 7:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will be held prior from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Burial will be private.

 In lieu of flowers donations in his memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
