Calling All Photographers: 16th Annual South County Photo Contest
Residents and visitors are eligible to enter the contest and try for the $500 first prize.

WAKEFIELD, RI — South County Tourism Council is accepting entries for our 16th Annual South County Photo Contest. Open to residents and visitors alike, the only requisite of the contest is that the photos are of South County – Charlestown, Coventry, East Greenwich, Exeter, Hopkinton, Narragansett, North Kingstown, Richmond, South Kingstown, West Greenwich or Westerly.
Cash prizes totaling approximately $2000 will be awarded to the winners. There are two categories, “People at Play” and “A Beautiful Place.” South County Tourism Council staff will determine the category a photo will be placed in. There will be winners selected for each category as follows: first place wins $500, second place $250, third place $125 and two runners-up per category will receive $50 each. The contest entry deadline is Thursday, August 17 by 5 P.M. Awards will be presented at 6 P.M.on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the South County Museum with a press conference and reception.
