CCFD Court Hearing: At 2 p.m. this afternoon, a status hearing for the Central Coventry Fire District will be held in Courtroom 4E at Kent County Superior Court (222 Quaker Ln., Warwick). In addition to the Court’s decisions on various pending matters, the Court will also hear a status update from Special Master Richard Land. 

Jamie Mayer Memorial Blood Drive #3: Due to the overwhelming response to the Jamie Mayer Memorial Blood Drives held Jan. 9 and 17, the Rhode Island Blood Center will sponsor a third drive in Jamie's name. The drive will take place today, Jan. 24 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Coventry Credit Union's Main Street branch in Coventry. Click here to learn more.

CGSL Registration: Tonight from 6 to 8 p.m., the Coventry Girls Softball League will hold a registration for the 2014 Fast Pitch and Slow Pitch seasons. Registration will take place at the Coventry Community Center, located at 1277 Main Street (Rte. 117). Toddler Stories and Songs in Greene: The Greene Public Library, located at 179 Hopkins Hollow Road, Greene, will host Toddlers, Tunes & Tales today and each Friday morning from 10-10:30 a.m. The program is intended for children ages 1-3 accompanied by a parent or caregiver and will feature songs, movement and a fun story. Tomorrow - Athletic Hall of Fame: On Saturday, Jan. 25, Coventry Public Schools will induct six individuals as the newest members of the district's Athletic Hall of Fame.
