Conimicut Point, Yawgoog Scout Reservation Reopened To Swimming
Both the Kent County YMCA Upper and Lower Ponds and Roy Carpenter Beach in South Kingstown remain closed.
COVENTRY, RI — Two more Rhode Island swimming areas were reopened over the weekend. Yawgoog Scout Reservation in Hopkinton and Conimucit Point Beach in Warwick were declared safe for swimming.
On Sunday, the Rhode Island Department of Health said bacteria in the water returned to safe levels. Both the Kent County YMCA Upper and Lower Ponds and Roy Carpenter Beach in South Kingstown remain closed.
