Coventry Fire Destroys Mobile Home, SUVs; Nobody Hurt
A family is OK along with their pet dog but their house was a total loss after a raging fire on Poppin John Lane in Coventry on Sunday.
A roaring fire destroyed a mobile home, two Ford Explorers, a motorcycle and spread into a brush fire that extended to several sheds and two campers on Poppin John Lane in Coventry on Sunday.
Remarkably, nobody was hurt.
Firefighters from Coventry and surrounding areas attacked the aggressive fire, which was fueled by very dry conditions and wind gusts during a Memorial Day weekend marked by great sunny weather but elevated fire risk.

The two-alarm fire broke out at around 2:30 p.m. and crews battled thick white and black smoke as the fire gutted the mobile home and spread to the vehicles parked in the driveway.
Crews from the Central, Anthony, Western and Central Coventry fire districts responded to the fire, along with supporting crews from West Greenwich.

A family that lived in the house is safe, along with their pet dog.
The American Red Cross is assisting.
