Coventry Fireworks Set for July 4

It's an annual town tradition. Before you go — plan your parking wisely.

The Fourth of July is here and that means its time to dust the cobwebs off that lawn chair and get ready to head on down to Johnson’s Pond for the annual Johnson’s Pond 4th of July Fireworks Display.

The show this year will go on despite the Johnson’s Pond Civic Association falling a bit short of their $15,000 goal. As of June 30, they had collected just over $10,000.

The Coventry Police Department notes that police will start restricting access into Wood Estates and surrounding areas at around 7 p.m. Only locals will be allowed in or out so make sure your guests get in before things get busy.
