Coventry Man Charged With Taking Copper Pipes From Vacant Home

Keith Vieu, 35, was arrested and charged with stealing copper pipes from a vacant house on Black Rock Road.

COVENTRY, R.I. -- A Coventry man was arrested early Tuesday morning after reportedly breaking into a vacant house.

Police say they received reports of a suspicious male in a vacant house on Black Rock Road. The suspect reportedly left the area on a bicycle with a large basket full of copper pipes.

Officers caught the suspect, who they later identified at Vieu. They determined that he entered the house and stole the copper pipes from the heating elements.

Vieu was charged with breaking and entering and was arraigned Tuesday at Kent County Court House.
