Coventry Man Charged With Stabbing: Cops
The Coventry man was returned to jail after just getting out last month.

COVENTRY, RI — A Coventry man was charged in connection with a Tuesday night stabbing on Hill Farm Road.
Christian Hunt, 28, was arrested within hours of the late-night stabbing and charged with felony assault with a dangerous weapon and simple assault, the Coventry Police Department said in a media release.

The victim suffered a stab wound to the thigh and was taken to Kent Hospital in Warwick, according to the release.

"Another person present on scene was also physically assaulted by the suspect, before they fled prior to
police arrival," the release said.

"Hunt was ordered held without bail as a bail violator, after only having been recently released from the (Adult Correctional Institutions" on April 21, the release said.

Hunt was jailed in March in connection with a Warwick robbery case and was released on his own recognizance April 21, court records show.
