Coventry Man Indicted on Rape Charges
Shawn Larkin, 19, is alleged to have raped an individual in February.

A 19-year-old Coventry man has been indicted by the Statewide Grand Jury on charges of first-degree sexual assault, assault with intent to commit first-degree sexual assault and violation of a no contact order.
Rhode Island Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin said that Shawn Larkin, of 176 Hammet Road, Coventry, allegedly raped a person on or about Feb. 19 at the same time there was a no-contact order barring him from contacting the victim.
The incidents occurred in Coventry and Coventry police conducted the investigation.

Larkin is currently on home confinement and is due to appear in Kent County District Court on June 12 for arraignment.
