Coventry Mother Charged With Drunk Driving
Police said the woman's 7-year-old child was in the car. The youngster was picked up by relatives, police said.
COVENTRY, RI — Police arrested a 25-year-old Coventry woman early Saturday morning at the Taco Bell. A caller around 1 a.m. reported a woman in the drive-thru at 784 Tiogue Ave., appeared to be a drunk driver. Kelsie Teribury was arrested and charged with Driving under the Influence, Driving with a suspended License 3rd Offense and Obstructing an Officer in Execution of Duty.
Officers stopped her car in the parking lot where she allegedly gave them a false name. A family member was contacted to pick up the 7-year-old child in her car, and police also notified the state.
Teribury was held at the Adult Correctional Institutions as a probation violator.
