It with the deepest regret that the Coventry Professional Fire Fighters, Local 3372 announces the passing of their brother, Lieutenant James Harrington. Lieutenant Harrington has passed away after losing a battle with occupational cancer contracted in the line of duty.

Lieutenant Harrington was only 41 when he died making his death the second occupational cancer death in Central Coventry fire District in two years. Captain Bill Hall passed away on April 20, 2013 at the age of 43. The firefighters union says both men passed in their early forties and were assigned to the same stations, the same fire trucks, and were partners for many years. A spokesman for the firefighter says “it’s just too young of an age and each death seems to be too similar.”

Lieutenant Harrington leaves behind his wife Cara and his two daughters Madeline-Grace and Amelia-Mary.
