Coventry Public Library October Activities

The Coventry Public Library will be hosting activities all month, some for children and others with adult appeal as well.

COVENTRY, RI — Looking for something for you or your children to do? The Coventry Public Library will be hosting activities all month, some for children and others with adult appeal as well. The schedule is as follows:

  • The History of Roger William's Life - Thursday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. Park Ranger John McNiff of the Roger Williams National Memorial in Providence will present the life of Roger Williams, the man who founded the Rhode Island colony.
  • Halloween Story-time - Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 4:30 p.m. for children 3-8. A Halloween trick-or-treat costume parade will be followed by spooky stories and a Halloween craft. Register in the youth services department or by phone 401-822-9102. Space is limited.
  • "I Can’t Die But Once" Harriet Tubman Show - Thursday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. Gwendolyn Quezaire-Presutti, awarded actress and expert in African-American history, will present “I Can’t Die But Once” a one-woman show about the life of Harriet Tubman.
  • Halloween Family Evening Story-time - Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 6:30 p.m. Children are invited to wear their Halloween costumes to this story-time featuring Halloween stories, activities and craft. No registration is required.
