Coventry Summer Concerts, Movie Nights Schedule Released
Seven "Concerts and Cruise-Ins" are scheduled for this summer, along with two Briar Point Beach movie nights.
COVENTRY, RI — Summer is right around the corner, and the Coventry Parks and Recreation Department has a full calendar of fun, family events. Earlier this week, the department posted a full schedule of "Concerts and Cruise-Ins" and movie nights at Briar Point beach in June, July and August.
Concert and Cruise-Ins will be held on Friday nights across from the Town Hall on Flat River Road, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in July and 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in August. Gates open 30 minutes before the music starts and families are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner, blankets and chairs.

There are currently summer two movie nights scheduled for the summer, one in June and another in August. Both will be held on Friday nights, with the movies set to start at dusk. Movie will be shown at Briar Point Beach at 20 Briar Point Ave. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner, blankets and chairs. The events will also feature a bounce house, crafts for kids and more.
June 28, Incredibles 2: 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Rain date June 30.
August 30, Moana: 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Rain date September 1.
