Drunken Woman Crashes Into West Warwick Multi-Family Home: Police
The West Warwick Building Department deemed the home uninhabitable, following the DUI crash, police say.
WEST WARWICK, RI — A drunken West Warwick woman was arrested Thursday after crashing her car into a multi-family home in town, according to police.
West Warwick police said the crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on Providence Street near Ball Avenue. Emergency crews responded and extricated the 56-year-old woman from her car.
She suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. Police said the woman was brought to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence for treatment.

Police have not yet identified the woman, but said she was charged with driving under the influence (first offense) and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
The West Warwick Building Department deemed the home uninhabitable. Police said temporary living arrangements were made for residents.
