Earthquake Strikes Rhode Island Border

Did you feel it?

A 3.3-magnitude earthquake struck near the Rhode Island border Monday morning.

The epicenter of the quake was in Plainfield, Conn., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Police in eastern Connecticut said they received several reports of homes shaking, the Associated Press reported.

The quake happened at about 6:30 a.m. and could be felt as far away as South Kingstown and Providence. If you felt the quake, you can report it to the U.S. Geological Survey here.

A 3.3-magnitude quake is considered “minor,” according to the Richter Scale.
