Educational Documentary Available at Library Near You

Ever wonder what can be down to fix our broken medical system? At Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) we know that to bring about real change, we must recognize that we all have a role to play and we must all work together. (BCBSRI) has partnered with all Rhode Island libraries to provide you with an educational DVD of the documentary film “ESCAPE FIRE: The Fight to Rescue American Healthcare.” The film offers viewers an excellent overview of the current state of our nation’s healthcare system and addresses many of the issues affecting healthcare today. To tell the story, the film interweaves dramatic personal stories of patients and physicians with the efforts of leaders who are trying to transform healthcare at the highest levels of medicine, industry, government, and even the U.S. military.
